I'm not sure how they got on the sidewalk, but they seemed to have come from the same place. I also forgot to bring my waterproof gloves, so I had to wear different gloves, as shown in this picture. It wasn't raining as I was walking, but it had rained earlier in the day, so the trash was very wet.

Day 5 (Tuesday, 4/18): morning: -1 plastic bottle -8 cigarettes -5 plastic bags/wrappers -3-4 medium pieces of paper -10-12 small pieces of paper/plastic afternoon: -11 cigarettes -1 paper bag -4-5 small pieces of paper -7 small pieces of plastic -4 medium pieces of plastic -1 short cylindrical container (said nicotine on the packaging) -1 glove Today I found a container of nicotine pouches buried in the dirt. It was shiny, and it stuck out to me. It's just saddening to me seeing the amount of alcohol and drug usage in my community, because I never thought about that fact before. However, after finding at least 10 cigarettes a day during this project, multiple containers of alcohol, and now this container of nicotine, it occurs to me that there is more drug usage than I previously assumed.
